Leech Lake Activities To Get You Outside This Spring
1. Golf: Leech Lake has four wonderful golf courses to choose from.
LongBow Golf Club, an 18-hole golf course which is open to the public.
Tianna Country Club, located 2 miles south on Hwy 34, Tianna is also open to the public.
Wedgewood Golf Course and Driving Range and Wildwedge Gold and Mini Golf are both 9-hole courses and are sure to be great places to practice your swing.
2. Hiking and Biking: Leech Lake offers so many trails to choose from you won’t know where to start. Check out:
Heartland Trail, located just south of Walker which is one of the oldest paved trails in Minnesota’s North woods. It offers breathtaking views and a hiker’s paradise.
Paul Bunyan State Recreational Trail, an easy going trail that offers beautiful scenery.
3. Fishing and Boating: Leech Lake in Cass County is about 112,000 surface acres and 150 feet in depth at its deepest point, although a majority of the lake is roughly 35 feet deep.
