Leech Lake Fishing Report for Oct 17, 2019

October 17, 2019

Walleyes are being taken with a jig and minnow in less than 10 feet along Big Hardwoods and north into Sucker Bay. Sugar Point and Battle Point also are giving up walleyes in 5 to 9 feet and the rock pile in Kabekona Bay has produced walleyes with a slip bobber and minnow. Muskie action has slowed a bit, but Sucker Bay and Portage Bay are worth working with topwater baits, while crankbaits have triggered some fish around Cedar Point in Walker Bay. There’s been a few more duck hunters out and they’re seeing more of a mixed bag this week.
