Leech Lake Fishing Report for Dec 12, 2019

Fishing activity continues to be limited, but ice conditions are improving. Walker Bay has been ice-covered for more than a week and although there wasn’t any anglers on it early this week, that could change by the weekend so call ahead. There is some foot traffic allowed out of Trapper’s Landing Lodge where up to 8 inches of ice is being found, but there were some cracks to look out for. With the cold weather this week, the hope is that they will heal and some ATV or snowmobiles can start being utilized soon, but again, call ahead.
