Leech Lake Fishing Report for Aug 29, 2019
August 29, 2019
Cover water with crankbaits on the 14- to 18-foot rocks and you’ll catch a few walleyes. There’s also a spinner and crawler bite in the Goose Island/Snake Pit area in 15 to 20 feet. A slip bobber and leech or trolling crankbaits at night continues to produce some walleyes in the Sand Point area over 9 to 12 feet. Muskie reports have been best from Portage Bay, the Annex and Submarine Island area with bucktails. Spinnerbaits are turning largemouth bass in the reeds or rice beds in Boy Bay and Steamboat Bay.
