Leech Lake Fishing Report for Aug 2, 2018

You need to cover water on the main lake with a spinner and crawler in 9 to 11 feet for walleyes from Joe’s Landing to the Hardwoods. A slip bobber and leech is turning walleyes on the 16- to 20-foot rocks on North and West bars, while crankbaits are producing walleyes after dark in Walker Bay from 8 to 12 feet. Muskie reports have been good on the cabbage in Portage Bay and north of Hardwoods. Largemouth bass are hitting in the rice beds throughout the lake.
