Leech Lake Report
Angling activity has been limited to a few people fishing for walleyes on the north side of Walker Bay, the windy points or shorelines, around Baer Island, and the shallow rock reefs with a jig and minnow. You’ll still find perch in less than 8 feet on the north shore of Walker Bay as well. Deer-hunting reports indicated a decent start to the firearms season – slightly better for some groups compared with last year as far as the number of deer being seen, while other groups didn’t see much at all.
