View this week's fishing report on Leech Lake

Spinner rigs with leeches or crawlers are turning walleyes in around the 6- foot weeds and main lake rock piles. The wind-driven shorelines also have been productive in 9 to 12 feet. The humps in Walker Bay are producing walleyes during the evening hours as well. Muskie reports have been good, but the weeds have been more productive than rocks this week.

Minnows continue to work, especially on those shallow locations, but leeches seem to be the best […]

A jig and minnow continues to produce walleyes on most wind-driven shorelines and points. Better areas this week have been the east and west shorelines of Walker Bay in 15 to 25 feet, West Goose Flats and Stoney Point in 7 to 15 feet, Trader’s Bay in 8 to 12 feet, and back side of […]

Work the points and shoreline breaks in 5 to 10 feet with a good wind or cloudy conditions or slightly deeper if the conditions are calm – windy days have been much more productive than the calm ones. Panfish and […]

A jig and shiner minnow combo is producing walleyes in 10 to 12 feet on GrandVu Flats, Pine Point, Bear Island, and in Trader’s Bay. Fish the wind-driven shorelines, regardless of where you’re at. Northern pike are mixed in with the walleyes, while bass and panfish have started showing up in the shallow bays. Reed’s […]
