The AmericInn Lodge & Suites hotel of Walker MN was one of the first 20 AmericInn’s built, and this is shown through in their experience in dealing with guests. AmericInn Lodge & Suites in Walker is known for their friendly staff and convenient location. Their staff stands by the Golden Rule of treating others the way they would like to be treated. The staff is willing to go out of their way to make guest happy and make sure guest’s expectations are met.
This lodge seems to know what their guests are looking for with their wide variety of amenities done right. First, the lodge understands that guests are often on a budget, and breakfast is something they take pride in offering their guests. They offer guests a complimentary, hot home-style breakfast including fresh baked waffles, fresh fruit, Danishes, bagels, muffins, cereal, juice and milk. They also provide a 24 hour coffee bar to guests! The lodge is located just one block from historic downtown walker, where guests can find a multitude of shops with something for everyone. As if the lodge hasn’t already surpassed my expectations, it also offers guests complimentary bikes to enjoy during their stay; encouraging guests to go out and explore the area! Some of the area attractions include fishing, golfing, casinos, shopping, biking, theaters, and music festivals.
They appeal to businesspeople, and pleasure seekers including: families, children, and fishermen alike. All AmericInn Lodge & Suites guests are able to enjoy the free, hotel-wide , wireless internet as well as a lobby computer and printer for use 24 hours a day. They also offer a number of amenities to families including a large indoor heated pool, a hot tub and a sauna. The lodge also has an extra-large parking lot to accommodate boat trailers and motor coaches. Oh! And children under 12 stay free!
The overall atmosphere at the lodge is described by Betty Greer (G.M. of AmericInn Lodge & Suites) as “very calm and laid back.” She commented on the cozy lobby which contains a beautiful stone fireplace adding to the overall calm environment. When we asked Ms. Greer to comment on her favorite part of running the lodge, she commented, “definitely the people I meet. Hearing the stories of why they are here, and who they have come to visit.” Betty also comments, “There is so much to do here. There’s something for everyone!”
