August 30, 2012

Chase on the Lake is a premier Minnesota resort offering visitors a unique experience that can’t be found anywhere else. This is a resort located on the shores of Leech Lake and also in the heart of downtown Walker, MN. Chase on the Lake offers a unique mix of the great outdoors and historic luxury. Some of the notable amenities offered at Chase on the Lake include the 502 Restaurant with patio seating, the Cooper Door Aveda Spa, Chaser’s Bowling Alley and indoor heated pool and hot tub, and a number of outdoor activities to choose from year round. A manager at the resort commented

“there is a wide range of activities for just about anyone or any family – the dads who want to go fishing, or the moms that want to go shopping or to the spa, and a bowling alley for the whole family.”

This MN resort is very historic, incorporating elements of elegance, charm, and warmth. While talking with Adam, a manager at the resort, he described the atmosphere at the resort to be “very laid back with a kind of nostalgic feel.”

He explained that there is quite a bit of history there, having been there since 1922. He talked about the lumber yard that once occupied the property and an infirmary that was there for injured soldiers in a nearby battle. He says everyone has a story to tell about the Chase, be those visitors, locals, or owners.

The resort offers a variety of rooms including classic rooms, lake-view rooms, state of the art rooms, 2 bedroom and 3 bedroom condos, as well as ownership opportunities with the Lakeside Condos. Chase on the Lake attracts a wide variety of visitors from romantic weekenders to snowmobilers and wedding parties. A large attraction to the area and to the resort is the Ealpout Festival, which can get very rowdy and fun for people. Also, Moon Dance Jam brings in a couple of bands every year, Adam adds,

“Kiss stayed here last year!”

Leech Lake is known for being a premier lake in the state of Minnesota; it has a great reputation. Having a resort on this lake is just great. In addition to the beautiful lake and amenities offered, Adam points out,

“it is in downtown Walker – It just can’t be beat!”
