Fall Has It All Festivities
September 11, 2013
Can you believe it’s already September? Even though summer is now over, the fall season brings many things to look forward to in the Leech Lake area.
One of the best things about fall in Leech Lake is the beautiful changing colors of the leaves. The area is full of the rich autumn colors and crisp air. Another great thing about fall here is the Fall Has It All celebration! These annual festivities are held in the communities of Walker, Longville, Remer and Hackensack.
This year, the Fall Has It All celebration begins next Thursday, September 19th. To gain admission to all the events, a $4.00 button must be purchased at local merchants. The opening events include the Wine and Cheese Reception at the Longville Arts Center and the Ducks Unlimited Banquet in Walker at the Moondance Saloon.
The festivities continue until Saturday, October 5th. Some of the events included in the first weekend of the festival are Oktoberfest on Saturday, September 21st in Longville with a beer garden and live German music and an Oak Ridge Boys concert that night at Northern Lights Casino. The weekend after that features a farmers market in Walker and dances and a spaghetti dinner in Hackensack.
The closing weekend of the Fall Has It All festivities, October 4th and 5th, will include the Northwood Quilt Show at the Northern Lights Event Center and the Fall Fest Bake Sale and Pumpkin Pie Auction at The Depot in Remer.
Fall Has It All is the perfect way to celebrate the new fall season! For a full schedule of events, check out http://www.fallhasitall.com/. We hope to see you all out at the community festivities!
