Walker Bay Coffee Co serves breakfast sandwiches, along with a variety of baked goods, including gluten-free and vegetarian options. This bar and grill in Downtown Walker offers fun bar food like hot and salty pretzels and chicken green chili. With respect to the burgers and cheesesteaks, this is the place to get your fish on. Besides the fish tacos and fish and chips, they feature a walleye “sammich” which is their specialty. There are daily food and drink specials and they are open seven days a week.

Piggy BBQ of Walker is a family-fun place as all good barbecue joints should be. They have patio seating where you can sit and share your brisket or pulled pork with your dog. Just a block from the main street you’ll find the largest Leech Lake lakeside patio with lake views that go on for miles! The food is evolving and offers a variety for even the pickiest of eaters. Forest Edge Winery

A nice side trip from the lake brings you to Paul Bunyan State Forest. Wines here are light, dry, crisp, and clean with notes of the fruits and berries and rhubarb of Northern Winter. In addition to the forest and wines, there is also an art gallery here where you can buy jewelry, pottery, and more made by local artists. The winery occasionally features live music in the folk, pop, jazz, and classic rock genres.
