Leech Lake Fishing Report for Oct 11, 2018
October 11, 2018
Wet and windy weather over the past week has limited fishing opportunities. The few anglers venturing out are finding the occasional walleye on the wind-driven points or shoreline breaks in 6 to 10 feet. The deep humps in Walker Bay also are worth hitting for walleyes with Jiggin’ Raps or minnows. Perch action has slowed a bit and a few muskies continue to be caught off the shallow rocks with bucktails or rubber baits. Steady winds have helped knock some of the leaves down so grouse hunting should pick up, but there wasn’t a big push of new ducks into the area since last week.
