Leech Lake Halloween Activities

It’s that time of year when the weather starts getting colder and the leaves begin to change colors. The fall season also brings with it the spookiest holiday of the year: Halloween!
The Leech Lake area offers many Halloween activities that your whole family can enjoy. From costume parties to trick or treating, people of all ages will have a great Halloween at Leech Lake!
Your children will love the free Halloween games and trick or treating at the Camp Olson SPOOKtacular in Longville next Saturday the 26th. The spooky festivities will run from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm.
There is also plenty of Halloween fun for adults in the Leech Lake area! The Hackensack Legion Post 202 will be holding an adult Halloween party also on Saturday, October 26th, from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. The party will feature music and a prize for the best costume.
The city of Backus is also hosting a variety of Halloween activities the whole family will enjoy. On October 26th, they will be holding a children’s party for kids ages 12 and under that will run from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. The party will be filled with Halloween themed activities, including pumpkin picture coloring, a costume style show, a fish pond and a ring toss and bean bag throw with prizes. There is no charge for the party, and a free lunch will also be provided!
Later that night in Backus, the adult party starts at 8:00 pm. There will be hors d’oeuvres, a costume contest with prizes and complimentary cash and prize drawings.
Make sure to bring your whole family to Northern Lights Casino Halloween night for trick or treating! The Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe is once again sponsoring Treats for Tots at the casino on October 31st.
