Leech Lake Fishing Report for Sep 15, 2016
September 15, 2016
The jig and minnow bite is picking up along shallow weeds, shoreline breaks, and points as water temperatures continue to drop. Crankbaits also will produce walleyes on the flats, points, and wind-driven shorelines during the day and at night. Perch action has picked up on the shallow weeds during the afternoon hours and with some sorting, you can put together a nice bunch of fish. Most muskies are being found on rocks and windy points in less than 12 feet.
