Leech Lake Fishing Report for Oct 27, 2016
October 27, 2016
A jig and minnow started producing walleyes over 50 to 70 feet in Walker Bay during the day. You’ll also catch a few walleyes with jigs on the wind-driven points on certain days. After dark, trolling crankbaits in shallow water off the points and shoreline breaks has produced walleyes. Muskies are scattered with the best reports coming off the rocks on North Bar, Otter Tail Point, and Pelican. Perch remain shallow, but haven’t bit as consistently. Grouse hunting has improved, and although some new ducks moved in, hunters are seeing big numbers at this point.
