Leech Lake Fishing Report for Oct 13, 2016
October 13, 2016
Daytime walleye action continues to be less consistent than most expect, but water temps still haven’t dropped a lot. A jig and minnow is recommended during the day on any wind-driven point or shoreline – just keep moving until you connect with an active pod of fish. At night, crankbaits are producing fish from Sand Point to Cedar Point, along Pine Point, and on the shoreline breaks in Walker Bay. Muskies are active on the rocks. Perch are in the 6- to 8-foot cabbage and points. Duck hunters aren’t finding many new birds. Grouse reports are improving.
