Leech Lake Fishing Report for June 30, 2016
June 30, 2016
Strong winds and a mayfly hatch have slowed walleye action, but the bite was starting to rebound early this week. Trolling Shad Raps early and late each day has produced fish on the rocks in 12 to 20 feet. Spinner rigs and leeches also are turning walleyes on the main-lake structure in 12 to 14 feet, and the humps in Walker Bay have started giving up fish as well. Muskies continue to be tough to find, with an occasional fish pulled from the cabbage.
